Affordable Housing

Catholic Charities affordable housing options in central Minnesota.

View our list of affordable housing locations below to learn more about their specific unit details and location. Review the property requirements prior to submitting your online application. All applicants must meet the location's program guidelines.


We are not currently taking applications as we have reached our maximum number of applications of more than 2 years. When the waitlist returns to less than 2 years we will re-open the waitlist.


Application Process


  • Submit an online pre-application for every three properties you are applying for, thus if you apply for five properties, two applications will need to be submitted.
  • Applications will be accepted for the purpose of being placed on a waiting list. It does not mean you have been approved for an apartment.
  • Once your name comes up on the waiting list, you will be contacted.

Housing Locations

  • Holdingford - Fairview Apartments

    Location: 111 Third Street S, Holdingford, MN 56340


    Unit Information: 16 Units. 1 and 2 bedroom units available.


    • Complete an online pre-application to be placed on the waiting list
    • $520-$577/month for 1 bedroom. $567-$660/month for 2 bedroom.
    • No application fee.
    • Utilities included in rent: water, garbage, sewer, electric, heat.
    • Section 8 vouchers accepted.

  • Melrose - Rosemill Apartments

    Location: 407 Fifth Street NE, Melrose, MN 56352 and 518 Fourth Avenue NE, Melrose, MN 56352


    Unit Information: 2 buildings, 16 Units. (8 units each) 2 bedroom units.


    • To be placed on the waiting list, a online pre-application must be completed. 
    • $510-$560/month.
    • No application fee.
    • Utilities included in rent: water, garbage, sewer. Residents are responsible to pay heat and electric.
    • Section 8 vouchers accepted.

  • St. Cloud - La Paz Apartments

    • This apartment complex is for individuals with a diagnosed disability.
    • To be placed on the waiting list, an online pre-application must be completed. 
    • Rent is based on your income. Maximum monthly rent is $714 for one bedroom units and $901 for two-bedroom units.
    • No application fee.
    • Utilities included in rent: water, garbage, sewer and heat. Residents are responsible to pay electric.
    • This complex is a smoke-free property.

  • St. Cloud - La Cruz Apartments

    Location: 1514 Sixth Avenue S, St. Cloud, MN 56301


    Unit Information: 8 Buildings with 84 units and 20 townhomes.


    • 2 bedroom, 2 bedroom w/den, 3 bedroom apartments, and townhomes.
    • To be placed on the waiting list, a online pre-application must be completed.
    • $35 Application fee.
    • Rent for 2 bedroom units is $690, for 2 bedroom with den is $712, for 3 bedroom is $818, and a 4 bedroom townhome is $924.
    • Utilities included in rent for 2-3 bedroom units: water, sewer, garbage and heat. Residents are responsible to pay electric. Utilities included in rent for 4 bedroom townhomes: water, sewer and garbage. Residents are responsible to pay heat and electric.
    • Section 8 vouchers accepted.

  • St. Joseph - St. Joseph Apartments

    Unit Information: 12 units total - 11 one bedroom units and 1 two bedroom unit.


    • Residents must be 62 years of age or older or have a disability to apply.
    • To be placed on the waiting list, a online pre-application must be completed. 
    • $461-$580/month for 1 bedroom. $498-$622 for 2 bedroom.
    • No application fee.
    • Utilities included in rent: water, garbage, sewer and heat. Residents are responsible to pay electric.
    • Section 8 vouchers accepted.
    • This is a smoke free property.

  • Richmond - Maple Apartments

    Location: 488 First Street NE, Richmond, MN 56368 and 487 Second Street NE, Richmond, MN 56368


    Unit Information: 16 units total - 15 one bedroom units and 1 two bedroom unit.

    • $530-$585/month for 1 bedroom. $551-$611/month for 2 bedroom.
    • No application fee.
