Catholic Charities relies on the generosity of volunteers to support our neighbors in Central Minnesota. In 2023, 1,565 dedicated individuals contributed an incredible 165,384 hours of service.

Emergency Services


Emergency Services in St. Cloud includes the Food Shelf, Basic Everyday Essentials, and Financial Assistance programs. There are various roles within Emergency Services, both with and without client contact, and we will work together to find the best fit for you and your situation. Senior Dining / Meals On Wheels


Catholic Charities offers senior dining and meals on wheels services at over 40 locations across the Diocese of St. Cloud.


Volunteers are needed to:

  • Deliver Meals on Wheels
  • Prepare food in kitchens
  • Set up dining sites for meals
  • Serve meals
  • Clean up after meals
  • Do some clerical tasks


Not all opportunities are available at all locations. Contact the Catholic Charities Senior Dining Site Coordinator at the location nearest you to learn about opportunities and to sign up to volunteer.

Foster Grandparent Program


Catholic Charities Central Minnesota Foster Grandparent Program brings children and seniors together at schools and non-profit organizations throughout the Diocese of St. Cloud. Foster grandparents have the ability to use their time, skills and experience to help children learn. Foster grandparents give eight to 40 hours of service weekly or a minimum of 260 hours to a maximum of 2080 hours annually.
