Gifts in a Will or Trust
You want to leave a gift to Catholic Charities in your will. You also want the flexibility to adjust your will in the event that your circumstances change. You can do both.
Beneficiary Designations
Designating Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud as a beneficiary on assets not included in your will can have a big impact and may avoid unwanted taxes for your heirs. Some people prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:
- IRAs and retirement plans
- Life insurance policies
- Donor advised funds
- Commercial annuities
It is very simple to name Catholic Charities as a beneficiary. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider's website. Make your desired changes and return the form to establish your gift.
Endowed Gifts
An endowment gift to Catholic Charities today provides a brighter future for thousands of Central Minnesotans. When you make a donation to an endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.
Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at Catholic Charities. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.
