Mobile Food Bus
Bringing Nutritious Food Closer to Home
The Mobile Food Bus provides monthly food distribution services for individuals and families who face transportation barriers or have limited access to healthy food options.
Each month, the Mobile Food Bus visits affordable housing complexes and community sites throughout the St. Cloud area. Residents and neighbors of these locations who are experiencing food insecurity are welcome to receive assistance. While appointments are encouraged whenever possible to help us serve everyone efficiently, walk-up participants are also welcome. There is no cost to participate.
To request service, please call 320-229-4560, option 4, at least two business days before your site’s distribution date.
Why the Mobile Food Bus Matters
Not everyone can easily get to a food shelf. A car repair, a lack of public transit, or a long work shift can turn a short drive into an impossible errand. For residents at our partner locations, the bus removes that barrier entirely by bringing food directly to where they live.
This approach also helps us reach neighbors who might otherwise go without support. Seniors, people with disabilities, and families without reliable transportation all benefit from having groceries delivered close to home. It’s one more way Catholic Charities meets people where they are.
How the Program Works
Each distribution stop is scheduled in advance and coordinated with the host site. Community leads at partner locations, current participants, and posted flyers help share information about upcoming distributions. Volunteers and staff stock the bus with a variety of nutritious foods, including dairy, protein items, fresh produce, shelf-stable staples, and household essentials.
A current schedule of Mobile Food Bus locations, dates, and times is available below. If your housing site isn’t currently on the route but you believe it should be, reach out to our team. We’re always looking for ways to expand access and serve more neighbors across Central Minnesota.
