Celebrating Our 2026 Good Samaritan Award Recipients
Catholic Charities honors Mark Thelen and Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) with the 2026 Good Samaritan Award for outstanding service in Central Minnesota.
A safe place to call home is the foundation for health, independence, and well-being. Catholic Charities provides a range of housing services designed to meet people where they are, offering supportive options for individuals and families facing unique challenges and life circumstances.
Whether someone is transitioning to stable housing, seeking an affordable place to live, living with a developmental disability, managing a mental health condition, or experiencing homelessness as a young person, our programs provide support, dignity, and opportunity.
Housing
Having a place to call home affects nearly every part of life. It’s easier to hold a job, manage health conditions, and care for family when there’s a stable roof overhead. Without that foundation, even small setbacks can spiral into crisis.
That’s why Catholic Charities takes a person-centered approach to every program we offer. Each individual’s situation is different, so our team works to match people with the right level of support — whether that’s a fully independent apartment or a residence with daily assistance built in.
We also recognize that stability looks different for everyone. A young adult aging out of foster care has different needs than a senior managing a chronic illness, or a family recovering from a job loss. Our range of programs exists to meet each of those situations with the right kind of support.
Together, these programs help create pathways to stability, independence, and a stronger future for our neighbors across Central Minnesota.
