Healthier Living with Diabetes

The Diabetes Self-Management Program is a Stanford University approved program. Have you or someone you know had a life changing event, been diagnosed with diabetes? Managing diabetes is a challenge every day. There are so many variables to keep in mind food, exercise, stress, general health, etc. -- that keeping blood sugar levels in the desired range is a constant balancing act.  As you age, combine that with a chronic illness or chronic pain due to general health decline, accident, family genetics or even caring for a love one with diabetes can take its toll on the human body and spirit.

The program provides: knowledge and information, teaches skills that people can use to manage diabetes. gives people greater confidence in their ability to manage diabetes, helps improve people’s quality of life.

This workshop is held for 6 sessions.
To register for any workshop, contact Catholic Charities at 320.229.4591 or 320.229.4594. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Note: Most workshops require a minimum number of participants.  If the minimum is not met, the workshop will be cancelled.
Catholic Charities hosts workshops at the request of community members or groups. If you would like to see a workshop offered in your community, please contact Catholic Charities at 320.229.4591 or 320.229.4591. Catholic Charities will explain the minimum number of participants and will work with you to secure a suitable space to host the workshop in your community.
Catholic Charities will provide training to employee groups for a fee. The funds raised from these for-fee engagements allow us to provide more community opportunities to the seniors we serve.
Fees to employers are based on the workshop selected and the distance from Catholic Charities offices in St. Cloud.
