Catholic Charities Caritas Mental Health Clinic Group Therapy and Education

Participants in group sessions at Catholic Charities Caritas Mental Health Clinic receive therapy and learn from one another in the group who may be experiencing similar challenges. Through the guidance of a mental health professional, clients:
·         Gain insight into choices made that lead to maladaptive behaviors
·         Learn about and practice positive changes
·         Learn how to improve relationships
Co-Parenting classes are designed for people who are separated, divorcing or divorced, or not married but sharing parenting responsibilities. The eight-hour educational program is approved by the Minnesota State Supreme Court.
Sessions are offered at the address at right. Advance registration is required, call the number at right to request a registration brochure.  The non-refundable registration fee of $100 per participant must be received prior to class date.


This is a 24-week treatment program for men who have been abusive or are concerned they might become abusive. The focus is on ownership of feelings and actions with education on how to change behavior. The intended outcome is a less violent lifestyle.

The total cost for the 24-week program is $750.  This covers a 1.5 hour orientation class ($30) and $30 for each of the 24 education sessions.  The $30 orientation and class fees must be paid prior to sessions.

Individual counseling is offered for men who may not benefit from the group format. 
The Anger and Self Esteem group is a group for women who want to build their self-esteem and develop more appropriate ways to express and manage anger.

Domestic Violence Turning Points is an educational program that seeks to provide education, support, advocacy and therapy for women who are using legal and illegal violence in their intimate relationships.  While the primary audience is women using violence against their abusers, women who have been the victims of domestic violence but have not responded with violence will also benefit from these groups.

The weekly fee for this group is $67.50 per 1.5 hour session, with a Diagnostic Assessment ($220) required prior to first session.  Sliding fee is available with proof of household gross income.  Many medical insurances may be used.

This is a therapy and support group for adolescents ages 12 – 17, at risk of entering the juvenile justice system due to anger management issues and/or disruptive behavior.
